I watch her show rarely but when I do I also laugh at the guys on the show – yes, they’re rich financially but typically have zero maturity and are not husband material.

It’s definitely true that looks and money do not determine relationship success – if they did then why is the divorce rate in Hollywood 90%?

Ladies, unfortunately us men are very visual and we’re not trying to be – we are really are born that way, so we all have to live with it. If you look good it does help. And, let’s face it, women want a good looking guy as well. More than anything guys want a woman who’s kind, secure, confident, and exudes an inner beauty – that’s always more important that outward beauty.

You are so right! Sometimes good looking people end up together but not always. And looks aren’t the only thing that matters – unless you are a millionnaire paying to meet the specific type of women you want – then Patti has to deal with finding that. Always keep in mind that Stanger’s advice on the show is all about satisfying her wealthy clientelle and then take it with a grain of salt regarding your love life.

It’s funny Stanger puts so much emphasis on looks. Just because you’re really attractive doesn’t mean you will attract somebody really attractive. Haven’t you ever seen really attractive people with average people? Two gorgeous people are just going to end up fighting for the mirror.

I watch every episode and I think it is great. I have learn a lot about men and my own personal improvement. She may come across brutal, but she is telling the truth on how men look at women. I have my profile on match.com and most of them my age want healthy, beautiful women, and I work at being that way because I enjoy looking beautiful. And don’t forget how she tries her hardest to change the arrogant attitudes of these men especially the ageists who want pretty young things. She also does not take arrogant attitudes from the millionaire women. Let’s face it ladies, most men want the whole package and they seem to find it. I plan on being part of that group.

Louisa, – I totally understand what you are saying and curly hair CAN BE very sexy. My advice is to keep in mind that her hair comment is just one tiny piece of so much more. You can find something to disagree with from every expert – even me. But don’t throw the proverbial baby out with the bath water. Patti has a lot of really good things to say too.

Hi Sue,
Let’s remember that her show is made for TV. Adn her clients are millionaires from LA. So if you aren’t on the show and not looking to meet a millionaire, you can take some pressure off.

I agree – at some point the extensions will come off. But to me, the real take way is to do what you can to be the best you can be! You don’t need to try to be anyone else. But certainly make the most of what you have and who you are. For some that might mean a few new outfits, a new hairstyle and a change in make up.

Patti’s job is to find women for these finicky millionaires. In her book, she gives basically sound advice that can apply to most women. Some of it may annoy you, but some of most dating books will be like that. Take the parts you can use and ignore the rest!
